Fireplaces, fireplace inserts
Even in the early years of the development of construction, the fireplace played a very important role in every household. It once served as a hearth and became the central point of the cottage. It was used for preparing meals and served the function of heating the building during the winter and autumn seasons.
Fireplace – elegance in your home
Currently fireplaces in Lublin they also fulfill other roles, serving as an element aimed at enriching the interior aesthetically. Nowadays, in the era of competition in this market as well, fireplace manufacturers cannot rest on their laurels under any circumstances; they must constantly enrich their offer with new solutions aimed at drawing attention to themselves. Thanks to a flexible approach to the customer and openness to their needs, it is possible to tailor the fireplace surround to our individual preferences. The same applies to fireplace inserts, without which a fireplace has no chance of functioning normally.
Fireplace inserts – the styling of your fireplace
On the market, we have several types of fireplace inserts available that can be arranged to suit interiors designed in various styles. Classic fireplaces remain an extremely popular solution. They are characterized by a closed insert. There are also open installations to choose from, which also have many supporters and are recommended by many of their owners. Their disadvantage, however, is that they should be treated rather as decorative elements because an open chimney flue generates very large heat losses. This heat escapes to the outside of the building. The operating costs of this type of fireplace are also higher. All of this is because wood burns even faster in them, which necessitates making larger and more frequent purchases of fuel. The fireplace insert is a key element for the functioning of the fireplace. These inserts can be divided into two types when considering the material they are made of. We are talking here about steel and cast iron inserts.
They are shaped like a firebox and are additionally connected directly to the exhaust gas outlet. Their main tasks primarily include optimizing the thermal efficiency of the firebox. How do they achieve this? In a simple way – by reducing the intake of air from the heated room. This is possible thanks to a specially installed glass pane behind which the firebox is located. Fireplace inserts should be purchased wisely. Several important factors should be taken into account at that time. One of them is certainly the height of the flue gas dome. It is important for the fireplace to have a high flue gas dome. The exhaust gases will be located there. The wall thicknesses should have equally important parameters. It should not be less than 8 mm.
