Car registration
Car registration
Car registration, which was purchased in the country, is not a very difficult task. The place where it is done is the city hall, and in the case of registration outside of it, the district poviat office. When going there, you should prepare several documents necessary to complete the registration.
Step-by-step registration
The first and most important of these is the document confirming the purchase of the car. This can be a VAT invoice or an agreement confirming the sale or donation. If the vehicle was previously used by another person, the office may also require the old vehicle registration certificate.
Don't forget your ID
You must also have a valid ID card, passport, or driver's license. The car registration application can be obtained and filled out at the office, but a better solution is to print it out and fill it out at home, which will give us greater comfort and save time.
Registration costs
The costs of car registration should be under two hundred zlotys. In the case of used cars, you can save additional money by keeping the old license plates. Registering cars purchased abroad requires additional steps.
Don't forget about third-party liability insurance
Some of them are paying the excise tax and undergoing a technical inspection. Furthermore car registration from abroad forces us to provide translated documents. The important fact is that it must be done by a sworn translator. Even if the car is insured abroad, third-party liability insurance must also be purchased in the country. The final deadline for purchasing insurance is the day of registration.
