Where to repair modern cars

Every year, major car manufacturers release many new vehicle models onto the market. As befits the twenty-first century, cars are heavily computerized, with electronics having found their way almost everywhere. On the one hand, modern vehicles can do many things automatically, such as controlling wheel slip during braking and acceleration, assisting with parking, or almost performing the parking maneuver for us. On the other hand, all these gadgets and additional features come at the cost of equipping cars with a mass of small electronic parts, any of which can fail at the least expected moment.
Where can we repair new cars?
An ordinary car workshop may simply not be able to handle them. It is no longer enough to drive two streets over and commission the service to our mechanic friend, who will charge us less for repairing the fault. Our mechanic friend in his small workshop may not have either the skills or the equipment to repair a modern car.
Authorized Service Centers
It would seem, then, that we are doomed to have our modern vehicles repaired at Authorized Service Centers (ASOs). Such car service centers have all the necessary tools, spare parts, and knowledge of how to diagnose a fault and repair our car. However, the prohibitive issue is the price. It's not so bad if the car is still under warranty, in which case we won't pay a penny. However, if we have to pay out of our own pocket, we must be aware that it will not be small money. This is the biggest drawback of modern cars – if something breaks, they often have to be repaired in authorized car workshops, and their repairs can really hit the wallet hard. For this reason, more and more people are deciding to buy older cars, but ones with simpler designs.
