Dog groomer? Is it a necessity?

Although long-haired dogs have many fans, not everyone realizes how much time needs to be devoted to them. In addition to regular baths and brushing, a trusted dog groomer who offers dog haircuts also turns out to be essential. Long-haired dogs can wear somewhat more fancy hairstyles, but this requires much more daily maintenance from the owner. Long-haired dogs are definitely less convenient to maintain.
More and more people want their pet to look immaculate and neat, and in this case, dog beauty salons come to the rescue. Contrary to appearances, the vast majority of dogs quickly get used to visits to a dog grooming salon and experience the haircut itself with stoic calm.
Of course, this is not always the case. As the owner of a long-haired dog, it is worth making sure that the dog learns as soon as possible that the dog groomer is neither a necessary evil nor even the greatest torture.
The key is to choose a grooming pattern in which the dog will look and feel good, and the owner will be happy with the results. If we are unsure about the necessity of clipping or grooming treatments, we can always ask our veterinarian for an opinion. Once we have found a trusted veterinarian, who knows and understands our dog well, their advice can be very helpful.
Interestingly, it may turn out that the waiting time for a dog grooming appointment is much longer than for a „human hairdresser.” Therefore, it is worth booking appointments in advance, especially in the spring, when all long-haired dogs need to refresh their „hairstyle” after the winter period.
