Specialized hospital equipment
Surely each of us has been or will be in a hospital or clinic at some point, whether with our own health problems or visiting a loved one. Already walking down the corridor, we may encounter or notice strange medical equipment and machines that resemble nothing at all in shape. Their use is usually also foreign to us. We have rather heard about the annual campaign of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, which organizes the largest fundraiser for the sick in Poland and beyond. As is commonly known, the funds raised are allocated every year for specialized medical equipment for Polish hospitals and clinics.
These are the exact machines we were talking about just a moment ago.
Building on that momentum, do we know what an oxygen concentrator is used for and how it works, for example?
Probably not, which is why it is worth bringing up this topic to shed some light on the functionality of this machine. Starting from the beginning, this is a machine designed to continuously supply the patient with appropriate amounts of air, with an increased amount of oxygen for the body. This is a much cheaper and, above all, safer form of oxygen delivery than through compressed air cylinders. Additionally, in the event of any failure, right next to the patient, there is available oxygen kit, which enables a quick response from a nurse or doctor so as not to interrupt the patient's access to oxygen.

All the equipment is self-sufficient, as it draws air from the outside and, after filtering it and enriching it with much-needed oxygen, pumps it into the patient. A machine constructed in this way is similar in operation to a pump, but unfortunately, technologically and financially, it is far ahead of it.
