A gluten-free diet is not easy to follow – how to cope?

Care must be taken not to eat foods that obviously contain gluten, but a number of other foods must also be screened for its presence gluten in hidden form. All of this can make our daily life truly burdensome and unfortunately ends with the conclusion that a completely gluten-free diet cannot be continued. Therefore, it is enough to eat as few products as possible that may contain gluten in order to feel well.

Gluten-free products - which ones to choose?

An example of such a product that may contain gluten, even though generally it should not be there, is oats, the crops of which can unfortunately be contaminated with grains in which gluten it already very much exists. People who must eat gluten-free products are those who suffer from celiac disease. Gluten is a protein that is not absorbed by a person who suffers from this disease.

Diet is the foundation in the fight against celiac disease

If we follow the rule that gluten-containing products are not for us, then after some time we can eliminate gluten intolerance from our bodies. It follows from this simple conclusion that celiac disease mainly affects people who at some point in their lives had an excess of gluten in their bodies. There are also cases where gluten intolerance is uncurable and gluten-free products must be consumed by us for the rest of our lives.

Which products are safe?

As a rule, various types of rice will be safe, as well as those made from corn, soy, and buckwheat flour. People who are gluten intolerant can easily eat all kinds of nuts, as well as lentils, sunflower seeds, and sunflower oils.

Healthy gluten-free products

Products in which gluten should not be present, but unfortunately sometimes gets there by accident, are primarily products that can acquire gluten as a result of improper processing, during which gluten can get into them. This is the case when products are ground in mills and stored in the same places gluten-free products, as well as gluten-containing products.
